UNISCAN WALKERS SET THE STANDARD
The new 2009 Glider Plus Adjustable walker from Uniscan Limited has once again raised the standard of innovation for 4-leg rollator walking frames. A redesign of the highly acclaimed Glider Plus Adjustable introduces a host of unique and innovative features.
Commencing January 1, 2009 Uniscan introduce a brand new and innovative feature enhancement to the Glider Plus Adjustable model. This new concept is yet another first from Uniscan. By carefully redesigning the backrest assembly a unique solution has been developed allowing the backrest to fold with the walker for storage and transportation in one smooth action. The backrest moves automatically with the folding action of the walker – it does not need to be repositioned, unclipped or locked into place. The process is simple and requires no additional action by the user. The walker will fold flatter for storage and packing taking up even less storage space. It will also mean that each Glider Plus Adjustable walker will arrive fully assembled in its packing box allowing for immediate use without the need for any assembly.
 
The new backrest is 1.5 inches (38mm) deeper than the current design allowing the user to sit further back on the rest seat for greater comfort. Cables from the braking system (where fitted) are re-routed so that they are contained within the framework of the new backrest. This will reduce the risk of cables being snagged/caught on objects or furniture during use. Additional padding has been added to the seat and new pivot clips have also been incorporated. The new pivot clips have an adjustment feature allowing the seat pivot to be tightened so that the seat can be prevented from dropping down when opening and folding the walker.
This new idea benefits both the retailer and the end user and is yet another example of Uniscan’s commitment to a programme of innovation and continuous product development.
